West Ham are seeking back-to-back victories as they gear up to host Premier League newboys Norwich on Saturday.

The Hammers were heavily beaten by Manchester City on the opening day but head into Saturday’s clash unbeaten in three games across all competitions.

A draw at Brighton was followed up by an emphatic 3-1 win at Watford in the league and Manuel Pellegrini will want to keep that momentum going.

They also claimed a victory in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, beating Newport County 2-0, but Saturday’s outing will be their first at home since the opening-day loss to City.

Pellegrini has hinted that Javier Hernandez could be involved after recovering from a knee problem that kept him out of the last two games.

Michail Antonio faces an anxious wait to learn if he requires a spell on the sidelines after he came off in the League Cup win.

The versatile forward went for scans on Wednesday and they are expecting the results to come through late on Friday.

Defender Winston Reid is the only player certain to miss out as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke will be pleased with the way his side have acquitted themselves so far this season, although they have just three points to show from three games.

They were well beaten at Liverpool on the opening day before sealing a 3-1 triumph over Newcastle on their home debut of the term.

A 3-2 loss against Chelsea at Carrow Road last time out in the league would have been hard to swallow for the Canaries, while a much-changed side went down to Crawley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Defender Timm Klose sustained a knee injury against Crawley and is waiting on results to come back from a scan.

Fellow defender Christoph Zimmermann also limped off in that clash with a back problem but he is expected to be fit.

Grant Hanley has been ruled out after overstretching his groin in training on Friday, while Josip Drmic has been training but won’t be available until after the international break.

Alex Tettey has struggled for game-time this season but Farke says he will travel with the squad to the London Stadium.

These two sides played out a couple of 2-2 draws when they last met in the Premier League back in 2015-16.

Norwich have struggled in previous league visits to West Ham with their last victory coming back in March 1989.
